The location for your wedding reception is almost as important as the person you’re marrying. Almost. Where you choose to celebrate your special day, says a lot about who you are. Maybe a waterfront party or an old farm complete with treed driveway, or a wine cellar. Your style may be elegant or whimsical. You may have dreams of glitter and fairies or diamonds and tiaras. Whatever your desires are your location should reflect that.
The first thing you’ll need to ask is if your date is available. You might want to think about flexibility on that date. Certain months and days and times other than Saturday night can often provide a discount on price.
Be sure to ask about price. Some brides and grooms are on a budget and the majority of your costs will surface at the reception site.
What is the menu? Can you tailor it to your wishes while accommodating the culinary concerns of your guests? Is there a vegetarian option for cousin Caroline? Gluten free for Aunt Ellen?
Do they provide any decorations and what can you bring in? The farm might have a horse you can use for that carriage ride you always dreamed about.
Will the maître de or banquet manager be working with your DJ to insure a smooth-running night where the main course won’t be served while your guests are packing the dance floor? That answer needs to be YES!

We’ve made it our mission to thank the venues that have recommended us through the years. We can’t create an extraordinary evening for our clients without them. (Well, we could, but it’s all that much better because of them.)
If you could have your wedding reception anywhere, where would that be? What style celebration do you have in mind? If you’re already married, what would you change or keep the same if you could do it again? We love hearing from you!
